Quay Skater Of The Month - Bailey Cooper - October 2026

Right then Bailey, let’s have the low down, how did you get into Skateboarding?

So one day I was riding my bike on west and I was just watching all the skaters there, and found it sick how people could do the things they could do on a skate board!

Around 2 months later I went to west again with a group of mates, saw one of my other mates on a skateboard whom, then let me try it, and I was instantly hooked!

Sounds great dude! Good way to get into Skateboarding.

So how long have you been skating now? And what are your favourite tricks

I’ve been skating for about 11 months to a year now, and I’d say my favourite trick is either a bs 180 or a kickflip.

Kick Flip | West Park

Not bad then! Yeah your kick flips look good and have come on well!

Do you have any favourite skateboard companies/brands etc.?

I’d say my favourite deck brand I’ve skated would probably be real decks but look wise I’d say DGK and a brand I’d say adidas for skate shoes

Real is a great brand, same as DGK! Was thinking of getting DGK in the shop at some point!

Are you working on any video parts?

I’ve never really thought about making video parts to be honest, I would like to work on one though.

Ollie | West Park

They’re definitely good to do, look back on your progress and good times!

Do you have any favourite skaters of video parts?

Probably Scott Palmer’s Blueprint part, or well it’s not really a part but, Jamie Foy’s my war for thrasher.

Great choice! Which of Scott’s part? Lost & Found? Rad part that and video! For sure yeah, Jamie’s My War is crazy!

Are you excited for the new indoor Skate Park?

Yeah the lost and found part, and I’m buzzing for the new indoor it will be fire!

Backside Flip | West Park

Good stuff! We’re on it! Right let’s wrap this up dude, thanks for being this month’s SOM! Any final words?

Thanks man, and yeah, Perseverance is everything don’t give skating up!
