Let’s have the low down, and what do you do? Job, college etc.
Okay well firstly, education wise I went to Cott High and when to college after that for English and film studies.
From that I went into call centre work which was a bit brutal, however I’ve just transitioned to working in a restaurant, which is a really nice change of pace.
Ahh nice bet that is refreshing then, any specific style of resturant or general food?
Yeah its just general food really, nothing special. And you're right skate trips are always something to look forward to.

How did you get into Skateboarding, and have you been skating long?
I want to say I’ve been skating about 3 years, or a little over.
I first got into the same way anyone does, I saw some of the skaters shredding and got inspired.
I think the first time I properly encountered skating was in town and it was Spencer actually who got me into it - skating like it was nobodies business at the statue in town centre.
Really stoked a passion for it and all the confidence and resilience it takes.
Ahh man thats rad, good way to get into it for sure, such a sick journey! And yeah haha Spen gets after it good!
Any trips planned for summer anywhere?
I’ve got a couple trips planned actually. Im planning to head down to Nottingham at some point in July time with a group of us from Hull, and then hoping to get over to Manchester before summer ends.
In fact in a couple of weeks im visiting some friends in London, and planning to take my set up with me and have a little razz around there, which im sure will be humbling! But I’m definitely looking forward to getting out there again.

Nottingham trip sounds good, the last one everyone went on looked rad, good skating, spots and chaos haha. Manchester is good too, should definitely travel about skating and see whats out there, one of the best parts of skating!
So are you working on any video parts or projects this year?
I think I’m looking to hopefully get a skate part out at some point towards the end of summer - I have been itching to use the stuff I learnt in film studies at school, on a serious skate video… so hopefully 2026 is the year!
Nice man, be good to see it! Always rad filming videos or being creative towards a project!
So, What do you think to having a local skate store in town then?
As for having a skate store it’s rad. It was an absolute pain to get good quality stuff previously, you either had to go pretty far out of town, or order it and risk it not being what you wanted.
The ability to have that guidance and equally the community and social space that it creates, can only be described as positive and beneficial.

For sure, that is why I opened it, for that community aspect and the fact people can come in and actually see and feel how the product is, before making a purchase, I think you need that for something as niche as Skateboarding.
Right then dude lets wrap this up, thanks for being this months SOM, and well done for smashing it recently!!
No problem, cheers man! Take it easy!
