So, give us the low down Gabe, how long you been skating, when you get into it and how old are you?
Yo, I’m 17 and roughly started skating when I was 6 years old on a green penny board just rolling up and down the drive way.
I always liked things with wheels I used to ride a rip stick a lot as a kid.
I think I got my first ever Santa Cruise board when I was 8 or 9 got into skating properly, I started going to rock city but I would take a Bmx, scooter and a board.
I did that for a while until I got banned from Rockcity, like most people in the region have. I then got into mountain biking did that for a year or two then lockdown happened and I got really into playing guitar and making music.
Maybe a year after lockdown I got a message from a friend of mine who was just getting into skating started going to Ferriby skatepark skating transition occasionally with him.
Then in summer 2023 I started skating west park and fell head over heels for skating.
You’ve come up quite fast in the scene, I’ve watched you land your first 360 flip a couple of months ago, to then throwing it down stairs in lines, impressive! Anything else you’re working on?
Thankyou man I’m always trying to improve in skating, I’m currently working on board control, getting more comfortable on rails and ledges.
One thing I’m definitely trying to work on is my shoulder placement for tricks, as it’s something I never really thought about until recently.
What about video parts? Are we gonna see a Gabe street part anytime soon?
I’m not really thinking about any video parts, I just enjoy skating but if anyone wants to go street skating and get some clips I’m game. Exited for summer.
Sounds like you’re still just wanting to find your feet a bit more, looks like you’re doing okay at finding them though! Hence being this month’s Skater of the month ha ha.

Yes, I’m excited for summer, hardly skated with this weather, it is just too cold and depressing! Bring on the better weather!

Yeah! bring on the hot weather, this summer I’m just gonna try keep away from Hull and travel about.
I will always have a place for Hull in my heart but I’m kinda done with it.
Definitely mate! For sure, it is great to travel about and see other places, especially Skating, however Hull is always where the heart is!
